Investment Placement Group,
also known as IPG, is founded as
a Broker Dealer to provide
wealth management services
with a family office approach.

1985

Investment Placement
Commodities, also known as
IPC, is founded.

1993

Established as leaders in emerging
markets debt management.

1997

Wealth management services
expanded to multiple US and
European renown custodians
and execution venues.

2004

Investment Committee and
investment process is redesigned
to provide streamlined managed
investment portfolios.

2006

Alberto Benrey and Alfonso
Aldrete become partners of IPG.

2009

Adolfo González-Rubio
Beckmann, Partner, is elected
CEO and Chairman of the Board.

2010

IPG Investment Advisors is
founded as a registered
investment advisor.

2016

IPG expands footprint with
new offices in Miami and Tucson.

2021

IPG launches its first proprietary
fixed income and alternatives
fund: IPG Global Opportunities
Fund and IPG Alternative
Investments Fund.

2023

IPG celebrates its 40-year
anniversary.
In addition, IPG launches Certum
Alternative Income. An alternatives
fund dedicated to Private Credit.

Adolfo joined IPG in 1986. Since the start of his financial career in 1983, Adolfo’s industry experience includes roles in Sales and Trading, Broker, Financial Advisor & COO. Adolfo completed Harvard Business School OPM executive leadership program and earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from ITESO, Mexico. Serves as Board Member of Monro Capital and Grupo Optima.

Since the start of his financial career in 1980, Alfonso’s industry experience includes roles as Regional Director, Commercial Director, Financial Advisor and Board Member. Alfonso earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Centro de Enseñanza Técnica y Superior (CETYS) in Mexicali, Mexico.

Darius joined IPG in 2021. Since the start of his career in 2000, Darius’ industry experience includes roles as AMLCO Compliance Officer, and Principal Operations Officer at various financial firms and wire houses with over 15 industry licenses. Darius earned his B.S. from Queens College, New York.

Martha joined IPG in 2005. Since the start of her career in 1983, Martha’s experience includes Controller for Fortune 100 company and Director of Finance. Martha earned her B.S. in Audit and Accounting from UABC, Mexico. Holds a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and Total Quality Management Certification.
