Mauricio Gomez is a Strategist and Senior Credit Analyst for IPG’s Corporate Bond Portfolio and a member of the Investment Committee.
From 2000 through 2006, Mauricio was Director and Senior Analyst at Remius Capital Group in New York, an alternative investment firm specialized in high yield fixed income. From 1996 to 2000, he held various roles of increasing experience and seniority at J. P. Morgan. He rose from Analyst in the Institutional Investor Desk for the Latin American Food and Beverage Equity Research team in New York, to lead the Corporate Bond Analyst position for the Electrical, Telecom and Food and Beverage sectors in Latin America.
Prior to J.P. Morgan, Mauricio held positions in Colombia at Fiducor and Banco Ganadero. He earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting from New York University (NYU) and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Universidad de los Andes (Uniandes) in Bogota, Colombia. He currently holds FINRA Series 65 License.

Rafael Benrey oversees IPG’s fund strategy. He is responsible for the due diligence of fund investments and the management of the firm’s fund model portfolios. Rafael has over four years of experience in the finance industry. Before IPG, he worked at Cambridge Associates, the market leader in financial consulting to Endowments and non-profit institutions in the US, as an Associate Investment Director. Previously, he was a summer analyst at RBC Capital Markets and Societe Generale Private Banking. He holds a bachelors degree in Finance and Economics from Babson College, and holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66.
